Named after the Malheur River, the County is located in the southeast
corner of the state of Oregon. It is bordered the state of Nevada on
the south, the state of Idaho on the east, Baker County is to the north, with Harney and Grant Counties to the west. It is the second largest county in the state of Oregon.
